Terms of use
What follows governs how the italia-gpt.com site and the Variazione Civica Lab contact channel are to be used. The site is informational in nature: it gathers research notes on the ways generative AI systems pull up and portray Italian businesses. The lab puts nothing up for sale — no visibility services, no advertising, no brand diagnostics.
1. Use of the site
Whatever appears on italia-gpt.com mirrors, in good faith, what the lab had observed by the time of publication. Every note recounts the observable behavior of generative AI systems within defined conditions — it amounts neither to legal, regulatory or commercial advice, nor to a verdict on any business or market. Build your decisions on this content and the risk is yours to carry.
Industrial-scale scraping of the content is off limits, as is reproducing lengthy extracts with no attribution. Linking and quoting, provided the source is named, are as a rule allowed.
2. Contact form
Submitting the form amounts to no offer, no contract and no promise on either side: it is purely an orderly route for handing over context. Variazione Civica Lab gets back to you in those cases where the context makes a genuinely useful answer possible. The act of submitting, on its own, gives rise to no right to any particular reply, to a set response time or to a piece of research.
A request may go unaccepted where the subject sits outside the lab's reach, where present capacity will not stretch to it, or where a repeatable run of observations simply cannot be put together. A refusal, whatever the reason, casts no judgement on your business.
3. Liability
As regards use of the site, liability is held to the fullest extent that the applicable law will permit. The lab's materials recount AI behavior, a thing driven by factors nobody has full command over: model updates, the policies of third-party platforms, the run of the conversation and the passage of time. There is no guarantee as to how a given generative AI system will go on to pull up or portray any particular business. Liability, even so, is not set aside in instances of intent, fraud, gross negligence, or in any other instance where the law forbids its exclusion.
4. Governing law and jurisdiction
Italian law governs, and jurisdiction rests with the courts of the place where the operator resides, save where consumer-protection legislation hands the user a different jurisdiction.
5. Changes to these terms
These terms move along with the working model and are updated to match. The version in force is the one flagged by the "Updated" date up top. Where a change touches the site alone, it surfaces here.
